About City Ditto
City Ditto is a new fine art print series by artist and designer Mike Joyce of New York City. Drawing from his love of cities and typography, Mike has created hundreds of posters set in Avant Garde Gothic. Inspired by the typographic work of Ed Ruscha, Robert Indiana, and Barbara Kruger as well as the pop art palette and striking repetition of Andy Warhol and Yayoi Kusama, City Ditto celebrates the world’s great cities, towns, villages, and boroughs—their names echoing in bold typography. Each poster works independently or as part of its triptych of colorways.
City Ditto posters are museum-quality Epson fine art prints on enhanced matte cover stock, printed with archival inks. All posters are printed, packaged, and shipped by the esteemed A2A Studio in Stamford, Connecticut. Mike has entrusted his work with A2A for over fifteen years because their impeccable fine art printing and meticulous attention to detail are second to none. They have printed and shipped thousands of Mike’s posters around the world.
Mike’s art prints have been carried in the gift shops of London’s Victoria & Albert Museum, the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago, the Australian Centre for the Moving Image, Baltic Centre of Contemporary Art, and Tokyo’s Warehouse Terrada. His posters reside in the permanent collections of the Museum of Design Zürich, the Poster House Museum in New York City, and the Library of Congress.
